The Summit Lake Ski Hill poster is a reproduction of an original painting by local Nakusp artist and long-time patron of the ski hill, Jean Spicer (1909 – 1994). The painting was purchased by Ruth Klughammer as a gift for her husband Helmut. Both Ruth (past secretary) and Helmut (past president) were long-time ski club volunteers and spent many winters at Summit Lake Ski Hill. The Klughammers donated the painting to the Nakusp Ski Club when they moved to Maple Ridge, BC.
The Nakusp Ski Club, a volunteer association, has operated Summit Lake Ski Hill since 1961. The ski hill celebrates 60 years of operation in 2021! Purchase of this poster supports the Nakusp Ski Club and Summit Lake Ski Hill.
